Some of you may of seen these A Frames at work?! The A Frame is a very unique design, saving money, time and labour!

The main advantages are:

Easy to use - Towing is stable and very secure - Simple to fit (takes under 10 minutes to fit)

Only 1 person required! This system attaches to the wishbones of the vehicle you are towing. Only 1 person to drive 2 cars!

These A Frames are the ratchett strap and chain version - The safestet type, especially on long motorway journeys. the only type that the National Major Breakdown Services will use AS THEY ARE THE SAFEST!

How easy is it to use and how does it work?

You just attach the A frame chains to the wishbones, leave the ignition key in the vehicle being towed (so the steering lock is off). Attach the hitch to you towbar (ball towbar) and thats it. It really is a simple to use A Frame. The A Frame is made from very strong steel, box sections are 50x50x5 - Very strong! All bolts are high tensile, the chain is certified at 3.5 tonne and is the same as used in shipping industry, the ratchetts are also certified to 5 tonne. As the A Frame steers the car you are towing (the reason you attach the chains to the wishbones) no one needs to be in the towed car - it steers itself and your car or van pulls it! Ingenious idea!

Have any of the RustSolutions staff used one?

We stand by all our products and always test everything, from a new paint to one of these A frames, so YES we have used one! We have our own one in stock that is used by all the staff if they need it. A few of the staff have classic cars, vans, etc. Or if they buy a new car, it only takes one person to drive up and collect the car or van. In fact, the Director of RustSolutions recently collected the last remaining 1954 Morris bus/ambulance in exsistance with one of these A Frames! Now thats quite a big motor to tow back, and it was a 151 mile journey (each way). The 1954 Morris will be refurbished by us and we will be taking it to shows in 2009, we hope!
