Rust treatment is where the Jenolite story began, and it remains at the heart of our business. Over the decades we have developed specialist knowledge of how rust forms, how it affects metal and how it should be treated — helping us create a comprehensive range of rust removers, rust converters, protective coatings and direct-to-rust paints for projects of every size.
Not every rust problem needs the same solution. Some surfaces need to be taken back to bare metal. Others can be stabilised with a rust converter before painting. Some need extra protection against moisture, impact or harsh weather.

Jenolite has a long history of use across automotive, marine, industrial, agricultural and household applications.
During the 1950s, Jenolite products were used to treat and recondition equipment supplied to the British Armed Forces. Jenolite went on to be recognised as a leading metal-treatment specialist, with its products marketed and distributed by major companies including Bluecol, Pennzoil Quaker State and Shell Chemicals.
In April 1955, Jenolite products were even used in corrosion-treatment trials on staircase components at the Eiffel Tower — proof of their effectiveness on one of the world's best-known steel structures.
These historic projects are an important part of our story, but our focus stays firmly on helping today's customers solve everyday restoration, repair and protection problems.
